We’re definitely not finished; we’re coming back to finish the book off after Christmas; hopefully it’ll provide the closure you’re looking for.

I think you’re right on when it comes to the “barbles & beads.”

We left revelations rather abruptly, and never covered the ending. I came away this time emotionally unmoved like I was last time. I did see beyond the pearly gates and golden streets, to the absence of pain and suffering. Those things made a lot more impact than barbles and beads.

The most striking thing about this list is how far I’ve been from Christian Culture and how many of those things I fit into.

Of course I would never call those activities something “christian” because to me, those are all “nerdy” “geeky” “dorky” loves of mine, and come from being a part of the nerd culture.

The only things that don’t apply to me on that list are things I’ve never experienced: Pretty much all of the books, and the specific indie artists listed. I do however love to listen to indie music, especially mellow indie music, so I’m guessing I’d fit in there too.

Makes me wonder.

I love that there’s already an acronym for that album. Have you in conversation called it that? “So, I was listening to nloth earlier…” “Oh yeah, did he kill another dragon? How many trolls did he fight?”
